VOLVO XC90 review

1. What Is It?

Date Published: 21st January 2011

A seven-seat SUV whose interior changed the world. It’s still one of the cleverest and most flexible vehicles around, making it a true practicality champion. It’s well made and classy, too, though the 2.5 diesel is noisy and underpowered; 2.5, 3.0, 3.2 and 4.4 petrols have failed to plug the gap, leaving a blot on an otherwise very bright landscape.

Buyer beware!
The diesel engine is so under-powered that most will have been thrashed. Vast discounts on new models mean there’s little to be gained in buying nearly-new.
