SUZUKI Jimny (used) review

1. What Is It?

Date Published: 21st January 2011

A tiny off-roader with low box and coil-sprung axles. Heaven for enthusiasts, and many have been turned into off-road giant-killers. With a loud petrol engine, it’s as unrefined as it is slow and skittish on the road. It’s cramped in the cabin, too, and struggles off-road on its standard tyres and suspension. Note that the Jimny has had two 1.3 engines. The first was a 1298cc unit, the second a 1328; they arrived at different times in the hard and soft-top models, but the latter is far superior.

Buyer beware!
Check for broken switches and a generally rough interior. The engine needs thrashing, so high-milers may have a knackered drivetrain.
