The best vehicle Suzuki ever made. The XL-7 was much more refined than the smaller Grand Vitaras, and with a 2.7 V6 it was more fun, too. A 2.0 diesel arrived in 2004 but was sluggish in comparison; both had good equipment, gung-ho handling and a choice of 5 or 7 seats. Models from after the 2003 facelift look less dated.

Buyer beware!
Interior quality wasn’t great, so look for loose switches and listen out for trim rattles.
