Price £17,500-£75000Dates 2005-onA Discovery made to look like a Rangey, with sharpened-up handling and a proceeds-of-crime image. Sensational on the road, by Land Rover standards, and lavishly kitted. More practical than you’d think, too. Early 2.7 diesel was replaced by amuch better 3.6 in 2006; 4.2, 4.4 and 5.0 petrols are cripplingly expensive, though all are short on reliability.
Buyer beware!Wayward electrics and air suspension problems are way more common than they should be, and every bit as expensive as you’d expect.
