LAND ROVER Range Rover Mk3 (used) review

1. What Is It?

Date Published: 21st January 2011

Price £8500-£82,500
Dates 2002-on

A superlative example of luxury 4x4 engineering. The latest Rangey is still a fine off-roader but pays more attention to tarmac and is gloriously appointed inside. Early 3.0 diesels were rough; the 3.6 and latest 4.4 units are fast and smooth, while the 4.4 petrol was thirsty and 4.2 and 5.0 supercharged units are too frantic to suit its relaxed character.

Buyer beware!
The early 3.0 diesel is temptingly cheap, but is best avoided. FSH is essential, but electrical gremlins are always a possibility.

+ Gorgeous cabin, great to drive
- Huge bills, impractical interior
