MITSUBISHI L200 review

1. To Live With

Date Published: 17th December 2010

The L200 offers a wider range of body styles and spec options than any other pick-up, so at that level at least it should be the easiest to live with. Our testers thought that showed a good understanding of how varied the demands of the truck market can be, and they found plenty of evidence that Mitsubishi knows what it’s doing at every other level, too.

A very simple example of that is the sliding rear window, which drops down to allow through-loading of long items. It might be basic, but it attracted plenty of praise.
Elsewhere, the interior is comfortable and convenient without hitting any heights.

The dash is reasonably clear and well laid out, though some of our testers thought the controls were a bit fiddly here and there. Materials are hardly classy, but didn’t attract and criticisms either, and oddment stowage is adequate without breaking any new ground.

The seating position up front is perhaps less high-command than in most trucks, but our testers noted good legroom in the back by double-cab standards. Headroom here is decent, too.
